The SMS Recharge is a feature of competence of the Tenant, whose purpose is to move a set of available SMS text messages from the Tenant level to a Venue. SMS is supported and can be used in order to send access credentials to end-users, or validate his identity during the registration phase.
In order to top up a Venue, it is necessary to click the Venue button present in the quick access toolbar, select the wished Venue by clicking its name and then scroll through the data and click Recharge for the Outbound SMS or Inbound SMS/Call row. Once done, it will be necessary to select the SMS text message packet wished.
SMS packets consist of two categories: Inbound SMS and Outbound SMS.
It is possible to view the number of text messages available for the single Venue and the total of those available for the Tenant, which may be transferred later to any wished Venue managed.
Please note that a Tenant may have an unlimited number of SMS text messages. In this case, the Tenant is able to assign an unlimited number of SMS text messages also to a Venue, by clicking the Venue button present in the quick access toolbar, selecting the wished Venue by clicking its name, clicking Edit in the command toolbar, and after that checking the Unlimited SMS option.
When the number of available text messages for the Inbound SMS or Outbound SMS categories is zero for a Tenant or for a Venue, the following alerts are shown in the Dashboard section, in the Notifications tab:
Inbound SMS/Call remaining: 0
when no text messages for the Inbound SMS category are available.
Outbound SMS remaining: 0
when no text messages for the Outbound SMS category are available.
Please note that according to the values set for the Validation for user registration, in the Sign-Up Options, having no text messages available for a Venue, may cause the impossibility for the end-user to register to the service or make a password recovery through the Splash Portal.
For this reason, it is not possible for an end user to register or recover the password from the Splash Portal when the needed text messages to complete these actions are not available.
Inbound SMS messages are text messages sent by the end-user to a special phone number, in order to complete the autonomous registration process. Please read to Access Templates and Sign-Up Options in order to set up Inbound text messages.
This applies when the Venue has Inbound text messages available.
Outbound SMS messages are text messages sent by the Solution to the end-user, typically to confirm an autonomous registration, or during a password recovery. Please read to Access Templates and Sign-Up Options in order to set up Outbound text messages.
This applies when the Venue has Outbound text messages available.
