Managing "Facebook" content blocks

[Please note that this article refers to an older version of the product and may be outdated. You can find the most recent guide here]
A "Facebook" content block allows publishing within a Splash Portal block. The messages flow from a public Facebook page.
Please check Customizing the Splash Portal defining content blocks in order to find more information about content blocks.

In order to configure a Facebook content block, you must enter the following parameters, for each language selected in the Splash portal languages option (in the International Settings section):
  • Public Facebook ID: the ID of the Facebook page. It is required that this page is public. Otherwise, no content will be displayed within the block.
  • Items number: the number of most recent posts to display within the block.

How to get the "Public Facebook ID"?

When creating, modifying or cloning a "Facebook" content block, it is possible to get a Like ID of a "Facebook" page starting from the "Facebook" page URL.
You can find this procedure by reading the following article: Getting the "Like ID" of a Facebook page.
