Splash Portals is a section of the Control Panel, accessible through the quick access toolbar, where the Tenant can create new Splash Portal instances. They can be managed by the Tenant and, if necessary, by the Venue Manager. They are displayed to the end-user when connecting to a HotSpot belonging to a Venue, in order to access the service.
A Splash Portal can be created in two ways:
- starting from a Splash Portal model
- starting from a Splash Portal template
Splash Portal models
Creating a Splash Portal from a model lets you change the appearance of the Splash Portal using various models offered by Cloud4Wi. Each model contains a variable number of open blocks where the Tenant or the Venue Manager can enter its content.

Splash Portal templates
A Splash Portal template is a standard page layout starting from which the Splash Portal can be designed. The Solution offers a set of Splash Portal templates that are available for the Tenant or the Venue Manager according to the license enabled.
Each template defines a different number of blocks where you can insert different contents and set the privilege level (whose responsible for the block can be the Tenant or Venue Manager, according to the settings chosen by the Tenant).
This is a very efficient way to customize a Splash Portal. However, this solution may be rigid, depending on what you may need in your Splash Portal. This rigidity can be overcome through the use of Splash Portal models.
