A Default Profile is the Service Profile that will be automatically assigned by the platform to new end-users in a Venue.
This way of proceeding is called Auto-Provisioning mode.
Assigning a Default Profile to a Venue is an appropriate practice when end-users must be able to use the service immediately after their registration.
In this way system users do not have to manually assign a Service Profile to each end-user, or require end-users to use Service PINs in order to browse.
