How to create and configure your custom dashboard

In this section you can find technical details on how to set your custom dashboard.

 

First use

If you did not perform any action on the Dashboard section, then you will find a default dashboard called "Main", containing the following widgets:

  • New Users
  • Connections
  • Impressions
  • Organization Overview
  • Live Connections
  • Summary

The Control Panel makes a lot of widgets available for you. See the following article for details on this: List of available dashboard widgets.

For a single dashboard widget in the Control Panel, the following actions may be available, depending on the widget type:

  • Full screen: by clicking on the  button on a single widget, it is possible to display it in a full screen mode window. This action is currently available only for some widgets.
  • Reload: by clicking on the  button on a single widget, you can update the displayed data.

 

Creating a new dashboard

By clicking on the  button on the dashboard main toolbar, it is possible to add a new dashboard. You have to enter the following data:

  • Name: the name of your dashboard.
  • Structure: you can select a layout that matches your needs.

 

Refreshing data on the dashboard

By clicking on the  button on the dashboard main toolbar, you can reload the data for all widgets in the currently selected dashboard.

 

Modifying a dashboard

By clicking on the  button on the dashboard toolbar, you can set the Edit mode and perform modifications on the dashboard that is currently selected.
You can exit from the Edit mode by clicking on the Save or Cancel button. In the first case your changes will be saved, otherwise not.


Dashboard

The following actions may be applied to a dashboard widget if Edit mode is active:

  • Change name: you can change the name of your dashboard through the dedicated input field.
  • Edit: it is possible to change the structure of your dashboard by clicking on the Edit button. After this action, perhaps you need to relocate your widget within the dashboard.
  • Delete: you can delete the selected dashboard by clicking on the Delete button. If the action is confirmed, then the currently selected dashboard will be deleted and the system user is redirected out of the Edit mode.
  • Cancel: the Cancel button allows you to undo all the actions previously performed on the Edit mode, without exiting.

Widget

The following actions may be applied to a dashboard widget if Edit mode is active:

  • Add: it is possible to add a new widget by clicking on the Add new widget button. Once the widget has been created, you can move it to the desired position. You can find a list of widgets in the following article: Available widgets for the dashboard.

  • Move: drag and drop is supported, and allows you to move a widget within your dashboard. This works only when Edit mode is active.

  • Set time interval: by clicking on the  button on a single widget, it is possible to set time intervals for displayed data. Please note that this action is currently available only for some widgets.
    The available time intervals are:
    • Today
    • Yesterday
    • Last Month
    • Total
    • Last 7 Days
    • Current month
    • Current year
    • Last year

  • Remove: it is possible to remove a widget from the dashboard by clicking on the dedicated  delete button.
