The Tenant or Venue Manager is able to add a new Fogsense Probe to an existing Venue, when the feature is enabled.
Procedure for the Tenant
If the feature is enabled, the Tenant can click on the Venue button in the quick access toolbar, select a Venue by clicking on its name and then enter the Fogsense tab.
Then, in the Fogsense tab, it is necessary to click on the Create new button in the command toolbar.
Procedure for the Venue Manager
If the feature is enabled for the Venue, the Venue Manager can add a Probe by clicking on the Devices button in the quick access toolbar and then choosing Fogsense in the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
In the Fogsense Probes section, it is necessary to click on the Add button.
Adding a new Probe
Adding a new Fogsense Probe, at any system user level, requires the following set of information:
- Name: the unique name for the Probe.
- Serial Number: the Serial Number for the Probe. You can find this information on a label on the back of the FogSense device.
- Description: an optional short description for the Probe, useful for displaying purposes.
- Country, City, Address, State/Province/Region, ZIP/Postal Code, Latitude, Longitude: geolocation data for the Probe.
