The MailChimp application allows you to synchronize existing MailChimp lists with the email addresses collected on the Volare platform.

Admin Panel management

Find the MailChimp application in the Marketplace. To get there, go to Manage → Apps and search in the Marketing or Integrations section.

Initial setup

After clicking on the MailChimp application, you will see a configuration screen that asks for your MailChimp API Key. This screen will appear every time until a valid MailChimp API Key is entered or after you delete an existing key.

After a valid API Key is entered, the following sections will appear:

  • Lists
  • Setup



Lists: copying user details from Volare to MailChimp

In the List tab, click the Add new rule button at the bottom of the window. This allows you to build associations between Venues in Volare and Lists in MailChimp.
You can define as many rules you want. For each rule, you can define an N-to-One correspondence, then you can copy all the email addresses from one or more Venues to a unique venue.
Only emails of those who have agreed to receive promotional marketing material will be added.
Once a rule has been set, click on the Start sync button. This applies to the single rule.

 A modal window will appear with the following options:

  • Export all existing contacts to your MailChimp list and automatically push new contacts to the list each time a new end-user signs upand agrees to receive promotional marketing material.
  • Export all existing contacts to your MailChimp list starting from a specific date and automatically push new contacts to the list each time a new end-user signs upand agrees to receive promotional marketing material.
  • Do NOT export any existing contacts but automatically synchronize the list every time a new user signs up and agrees to receive promotional marketing material.

Once you decide what to do, click on the Start sync button. Please note that you cannot change a rule after sync has begun.

You will be informed f the process of moving emails to MailChimp has been completed or not (Syncing in progress means sync is not yet finish, and In Sync means sync is complete).

To remove an existing rule, click the trash can .

 

Setup: changing API Key data

Go to the Setup tab to change your API Key data.

Please note: disconnecting your API Key from the Admin Panel will cause the reset of all your rules in the List tab.
