Purpose
This guide shows how to configure a Wi-Next access point for Cloud4Wi.
Please note that the images contained in this article may contain outdated configuration data. Therefore, please check the data contained in the article "Parameters for the Solution" at the bottom of the page, as they are certainly up to date.
Prerequisites
This article applies to all Naavigo series access points.
The configuration procedure has been performed and tested for the firmware version: NWSHSF-DEV-06779ce0.
Anyway, we recommend you to update the device to the latest firmware version.
In order to correctly integrate a Wi-Next access point with the Solution, it is necessary that:
- Connect the device to the Internet
- WAN and LAN interfaces are correctly configured
Secondly, you must configure at least one Wireless interface, with no encryption. The access point settings will be applied to this interface.
Accessing the access point
Please allow access to the device through the web interface.
Access point configuration
In order to set up the access point, it is necessary to access the Services > Hotspot page in the web interface. The configuration must be performed as follows:
Please note that:
- In the Wireless LAN field, it is necessary to specify the Wireless LAN that acts as an access point.
- The NAS ID parameter set in the device must be unique for all the access points belonging to your network. Otherwise, the access point will be not correctly integrated with the Solution.
- The Location field is not significant, and can be left as "Wi-Next".
- The UAM Secret field must be left empty.
In order to configure the walled garden, please check the following articles:
- Walled garden for the Social Login (websites/domains to open)
- Walled garden for PayPal feature (websites/domains to open)
Allowing free access to the CDN
As explained in the article Enabling the CDN, it is necessary to add some IP addresses to the walled garden in order to support the access to the CDN.
The domains to add for this purpose are:
- c4wstatic.cloud4wi.com
- c4wstaticjs.cloud4wi.com
Entering the device details into the Admin Panel
In order to integrate the access point with the Solution, you must enter its details into the Control Panel.
To get further information on how to do that, please see How to add an access point. Secondly, in the Control Panel, a field called Identifier will be required by the web interface. For Wi-Next products, as said before, it corresponds to the NAS ID value that has been configured in Services > Hotspot page.
Please note that this value must be unique for all the devices entered in the Control Panel. Otherwise, the access point will not be correctly integrated with the Solution.
Parameters for the Solution
The parameters indicated above for the Services > Hotspot page, are mandatory for the proper functioning. The necessary parameters to integrate the device with the Solution are the following:
RADIUS 1 - Host: 54.247.117.188
RADIUS 2 - Host: 79.125.111.180
Authentication port: 1812
Accounting port: 1813
RADIUS secret: (it will be communicated by Cloud4Wi)
URL Home Page: https://splashportal.cloud4wi.com
URL Login Page: https://splashportal.cloud4wi.com
UAM secret: (empty)
Please note that it is necessary to enter the Splash Page URL exactly as it is written above.
If you enter the Splash Page URL in different formats (e.g. https://splashportal.cloud4wi.com/c4wportal/mysplashportal), then the redirection will fail and the end-user will not be able to see the Splash Page.
If these parameters change in the future, we will promptly inform you about new values.
