Purpose
This guide shows how to configure a “Xclaim”, in order to use each access point with Cloud4Wi.
Please note that the images contained in this article may contain outdated configuration data. Therefore, please check the data contained in the article "Parameters for the Solution" at the bottom of the page, as they are certainly up to date.
Prerequisites
The configuration procedure has been performed and tested with access point firmware version 2.1.0.0.68. Before integrating access points with Cloud4Wi, it is necessary that:
- access points are connected to the Internet and reachable on the network
- IP addresses are assigned to access points through DHCP or static and reachable on network
Create Network/SSID that need to be broadcast
In order to create a network, go to Network > Guest Network > Add Guest network and fill-up the section with pertinent information and click Save.
See below for sample configuration.
Create Hotspot profile that would be associated with the access point
In order to create Hotspot Profile, Access Point > Hotspot Profile > Add Hotspot Profile and fill-up the section with pertinent information and click Save.
Select “Redirect To” option and fill up with Splash Page link.
The following parameters must be configured:
Authentication Type: Radius
Server IP address1: 54.247.117.188
Server IP address2: 79.125.111.180
Port: 1812
Secret: (it will be communicated by Cloud4Wi)
Select “Advanced Options” and complete NAS ID information and it should match with data that is entered on Admin Panel Identifier field.
Associate Network profile to the access point
In order to associate Network Profile with the access point, choose Access Point > Action (select drop-down) > Choose Attach WLAN > (pop-out window will show Network) Choose Network.
