The Peak Traffic dashboard allows you to understand the traffic distribution around your locations and zones.
The Peak Traffic dashboard allows you to understand the traffic distribution into your locations and zones, and identify the peak business hours and the busiest weekdays. You can analyze this data by location or even by specific zone. To analyze the data at the zone level, you have to pick a specific location first.
When looking at an entire Location or a group of Locations, the dashboard shows the Traffic intensity, which is computed as the number of unique devices intercepted in the proximity of the location in each time interval.
When the analysis is focused on a specific zone, the metric represents the Traffic intensity that has been detected inside the zone itself.
The main grid charts show the distribution of the total traffic intensity per every time slot represented.
The Foot traffic by time of the day grid shows the distribution of the traffic intensity across the hours of the day for each day of the week. Each cell represents a one hour slot on a specific day of the week. The value of each cell is a percentage that represents the level of traffic on the specific slot compared to the peak value across the grid.
If the Observation Period spans across multiple weeks, the value in each cell represents the average value of the same time slot across multiple weeks.
The Average traffic per hour chart represents the average distribution of the traffic intensity pear each hour of the day. The average is computed across all the days in the Observation Period. The value is expressed as a percentage of the total foot traffic accounted in each hour slot.
The Average traffic per day chart represents the average distribution of the traffic intensity pear each day of the week. The average is computed across all the days in the Observation Period. The value is expressed as a percentage of the total foot traffic accounted in each day of the week.
Note
The traffic intensity is computed based on the unique number of devices detected in a specific time unit. This metrics is not the same as the Traffic Index metric available in the Behaviors dashboard, which measures classified visits sessions.
