Purpose
This guide helps you in configuring your Ruckus Cloud network for Cloud4Wi.
Please note that the images contained in this article may contain outdated configuration data. Anyway, the data are certainly up to date.
Prerequisites
This guide applies to the Solution for the version 3.6.1.0.1099 or later.
Make sure to use Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi supported devices and properly connect them to the Internet.
You can request this activation by opening a ticket in our Support Center. Please provide us with the following information:
- The name or the code of the organization instance where you're adding the devices
- The Integration Key value (you will find this value during your configuration process)
Configuring Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi
Log in to Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi, click on Networks in the left sidebar, and then click on Add Network. Then enter all the required information.
1. Network Details
Enter the following information:
- Network Name: enter the name of your network, it will be used as the network SSID as well unless you click on Set different SSID
- Description: enter a short description, if you wish
- Type: select "Captive Portal"
Then click Next.
2. Portal Type
Select "3rd Party Captive Portal (WISPr)" and then click Next.
3. Settings
Enter the following information:
- Portal Provider: select "Cloud4Wi"
- Captive Portal URL: https://splashportal.cloud4wi.com
- Integration Key: check that this value is pre-set and copy it to the clipboard. As already mentioned, this value is required in order to activate your network
- Walled Garden: enter *.cloud4wi.com as the first line (this action also enables the CDN)
You won't need to specify RADIUS servers or key. This information is assumed when you select "Cloud4Wi" as Portal Provider.
Then click Next.

4. Venues
Activate the network in all venues, unless you have a specific requirement. You can do this by clicking on Activate in all venues. Then click Next.
5. Summary
Check all your data and then click on Create to confirm and finish this configuration step.
If you need to change these values at a later time, just click on Networks in the left sidebar, click on your Network, and then find and click on the Edit Network button.
Configuring the Cloud4Wi Cloud4Wi Dashboard
As the final step, you need to add the Access Point into the Cloud4Wi inventory. To get further information on how to do that, please read How to add an access point.
In this specific case, you need to enter the following information:
- Hardware manufacturer: "Ruckus Wireless (SCG)"
- MAC address: your MAC address
- Identifier: same as the "MAC address", with octets separated by ":" (colon) – e.g. "1C:B9:C4:FF:FF:FF"
