How this affect existing clients?
Existing clients with an active subscription won't be affected by the new product offering. When the subscription of their service will expire, their renewal will be converted to one of the new product subscriptions.
As part of the launch of the new offering, some features and components will be retired.
New clients activated after April 1st won't have these capabilities in their accounts.
For the existing clients, these capabilities will be retired according to the following schedule:
|Feature||End of life date|
|Heatmap||June 30th, 2020|
|Content Filtering add-on||Until the end of account subscription|
The heatmap dashboard shows the density and distribution of devices on a floor over time. This functionality relies on the triangulation capabilities of the WiFi system in place. Unfortunately, in order to get reliable results, the network layout must be designed and implemented following strict guidelines to assure enough density and positioning accuracy. We found that having these conditions in place is very rare in most of the locations, making this feature relevant for only specific cases. For this reason, we will discontinue this feature and its maintenance starting June 30th.
