Purpose
This guide shows how to configure the Omada TP-Link on-prem version (not Cloud) to use it in accordance with Cloud4Wi.
Please note that the images contained in this article may contain outdated configuration data. Therefore, please check the text data, as they are certainly up to date.
Prerequisites
The minimum firmware version required is: 4.1.5
The integration has been done using the following version: 4.2.11, Build: 1.7.4 Build 20210118 Rel.72627
To correctly integrate the Omada TP-Link controller with the Solution, it is necessary that the controller:
- is connected to the Internet
- is reachable on the network
- correctly assigns IP addresses to access points
- has both the management port and service port correctly set
Important:
To ensure proper user experience, you have to upload a trusted HTTPS certificate into the controller and associate a hostname to the DNS
Note:
In order to use your Omada TP-Link network with Cloud4Wi, you need activation on our side.
You can request this activation by opening a ticket in our Support Center. Please provide us with the following information:
- Omada Controller hostname associated with a public IP
Wireless Network setup
Enter Settings from the bottom menu. Then open the Wireless Network menu, and click Add. Configure with:
- SSID: Guest WiFi (or whatever you wish)
- Band: 2.4GHz and 5GHz
- Guest Network: Enabled
- Security Mode: None
RADIUS Configuration
On the Site Settings section, select the Authentication tab and configure the Radius Profile with:
- RADIUS Server IP: 54.247.117.188
- RADIUS Port: 1812
- RADIUS Password: (this value is privately communicated by Cloud4Wi)
- RADIUS Accounting: Enable
- Interim Update: Enable
- Interim Update: 120
- Accounting Server IP: 54.247.117.188
- Accounting Server Port: 1813
- Accounting Server Password: (this value is privately communicated by Cloud4Wi)
Guest Portal Configuration
On the Site Settings section, select the Authentication tab and configure with:
- SSID & Network: select the SSID you just created
- Authentication Type: External RADIUS Server
- Authentication Timeout: 8 Hour
- Radius Profile: select the Radius profile you just created
- NAS ID: TP-Link
- Authentication Mode: PAP
- Portal Customization: External Web Portal
- External Web Portal URL: https://splashportal.cloud4wi.com
- Landing Page: https://splashportal.cloud4wi.com
Walled Garden
In the same section, enable Pre-authentication Access, and then add the Cloud4Wi domain and the public IP of your Controller.
