One-Click Login
With this new option, when users come back to a Location and reach the Splash Page, users a automatically recognized and presented with the option to get connected with one simple click, regardless of the method they used to sign-up in the first place. With this option, we prevent users from signing up again using a different method and potentially initializing a duplicated record in the Contacts list.
MAC authentication
We evolved the capabilities of the Smart Authentication option, to provide a faster and seamless experience for returning users. MAC Authentication allows to automatically authenticate devices as soon as they associate to the network without prompting the captive portal page.
This option will be the default operating method when selecting the Smart Authentication option in the Login Profile. If the MAC authentication process fails for any reason, the default behavior will fall back to the classic Smart Authentication (the captive portal page pops up and closes immediately and automatically).
Enabling the MAC authentication also requires configuring proper settings in the WiFi network devices, and not all WiFi vendors are supported. To receive assistance on activating this capability please contact our team.
